Strengthening Performance of Institutionally Related Foundation Boards

College and university-affiliated foundations are vital fundraisers, stewards, and entrepreneurial partners to public colleges, universities, and systems. As publically funded institutions adapt their business models in response to ongoing declines in state funding and concerns about student costs, they are looking to foundations to generate increased private support for scholarships, faculty, academic programs, and capital projects.

AGB has been a thought leader and trusted advisor in our work with affiliated foundations.

Stay Connected at the Annual Foundation Leadership Forum
AGB’s Foundation Leadership Forum, which takes place each January, is the only national conference serving teams of foundation board members, foundation executive staff, and institution administrators. The program provides participants an opportunity to learn about foundation governance practice, endowment management, and fundraising leadership from a broad spectrum of experts and thought leaders. Peer group meetings within the conference offer seasoned professionals a chance to explore issues with colleagues from across the country and provide board members with opportunities to master the basics of foundation governance and learn strategies for effective committee and board leadership.

Stay Focused with Events and Programs
In addition to the Forum, AGB provides a variety of programs, services, and resources addressing emerging issues, special topics, and the unique needs and interests of individual foundations, institutions, and systems including:
