The Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) announced today that three highly experienced board members serving colleges and universities have joined the association’s board of directors. Each individual brings notable skills and commitment to higher education and its students.
- Linda R. Gooden serves as a regent of the University System of Maryland (USM). She is a retired executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Services and a member of the Home Depot, GMC, WGL, and ADP, Inc. boards of directors. In addition, she has served on the foundation boards of University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Prince George’s County Community College. Gooden received honorary degrees from multiple institutions and graduated from University of Maryland University College and Youngstown State University.
- The Honorable Ross Mugler serves on the Old Dominion University (ODU) Board of Visitors in Virginia. He holds the office of Commissioner of the Revenue for the City of Hampton, VA, and is a former president of the Commissioners of the Revenue Association of Virginia. Mr. Mugler also sits on the Thomas Nelson Community College Education Foundation board, and received his master’s in public administration from Old Dominion University.
- Ronald C. Parker serves as a trustee of Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, and is the former president and CEO of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC). Prior, Parker worked as senior vice president for human resources, labor relations, and global diversity and inclusion from PepsiCo. He sits on the Board of Visitors of Howard University School of Business, as well as the board of directors at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Plano, Texas. In addition to his position on the board of trustees, he also graduated from TCU.
