Opinion research shows many Americans believe things like: colleges and universities place their own interests above students'; tuition increases add to ballooning and idle endowment wealth; or the ROI of a college degree is in decline. AGB has called upon higher education's fiduciaries to champion its value proposition. What do board members know about the performance of American higher education and the misperceptions from the general public? What kinds of learning need to take place if they are to raise the stature of our sector in the public view? This webinar will call upon data from the inaugural AGB Trustee Index and information curated in support of AGB's Guardians Initiative: Reclaiming the Public Trust. The panelists will discuss the findings from the survey and the ways in which trustees can effectively become advocates for higher education with the support of their institution’s president.
