How are financial decisions linked to an institution’s strategic plan and priorities? Join this workshop to learn how presidential and board leadership can strengthen those connections, as well as about the financial responsibilities of the president and board in a strategically
focused organization, and the relationships among the institution’s strategic plan, long-range financial plan, and annual budget. This seminar is will encourage discussion and Q & A to
address their fiscal concerns.

Intercollegiate Athletics and Board Governance
Intercollegiate athletics play a significant role in the lives of undergraduates. While presidents are responsible for ensuring the appropriateness of athletic programs, trustees retain their own measures of accountability and responsibility. The NCAA is working with AGB to assist trustees to better carry out their duties; this workshop is the product of the two organization’s collaboration.

Preparing for Presidential Assessment
Participants will share ideas and learn principles and best practices in annual and comprehensive presidential assessment and joint board/presidential assessment. The workshop will examine ways both to assess and to contribute to the leadership development of the president and of the board by exploring the concept of integral leadership.
